At the center of all Matchday games are the officially licensed digital cards of football players you collect. And now, you can build your dream co-ed team, and take on your opponents on the pitch!
We know what you are thinking: how can we provide a level playing field for all genders, taking into account the differences on the pitch? We went to the drawing board and built our player performance stats model from the ground up by our team of football data geniuses. Instead of basing them on physical attributes, we focused on their on-pitch impact in real-life matches. We believe this provides a unique and exciting experience that you can't get in the real world (yet!).
Historically, sports have started with a focus on the men’s game, but many have since evolved to be inclusive of all genders. Think mixed doubles in tennis, relay races in swimming, or track and field. New co-ed sports have emerged like ultimate frisbee or korfball as well. But in football, efforts to promote co-ed matches are still rare.
At Matchday, we build games for 5 billion football fans. We want everyone to experience the future, where through games, we break down gender stereotypes, celebrate inclusivity, and have a lot of fun doing it! By including both women and men players, we are encouraging all gamers to think beyond traditional gender roles and acknowledge that anyone can excel at football.
